OUR STORY
Stark Bushcraft was born out of a need to find durable, and warm outdoor clothing to use while helping young families get out to enjoy the wilderness of Alberta safely. Everybody has heard the saying: "If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself". Well that is exactly how this all got started. I could not find what I needed in the stores, so I asked my wife if she could make me some out door gear, the next thing we knew all our friends wanted some too. A business is born.
Our Vision
We aim to provide adventurers with top quality Canadian made goods manufactured from materials sourced in North American and Europe. We firmly believe that the cheaper labour markets are not necessary to provide an affordable product to you.
WHO WE ARE

Founder and Developer.
Yes my name is Tony Stark, and no I don't have a suit of power armour available for purchase. This project came about after 30+ years of working and playing in the wilderness of Canada. As a young lad I spent most of my time outside playing in the woods building forts, camping and hiking with the family, skiing, sailing, biking, fishing and hunting. All the stuff that fortunate kids get to take part in.
Later on as a young man I joined the Canadian Armed Forces where my outdoor experience changed dramatically. Tents became optional, fire was rarely a wise thing as it would give away our position, so cold and wet became the miserable norm. The two most important pieces of gear in my kit became my wool sweater and my rain suit. They became my personal shelter system.

After the military, my outdoor activities remained, although a bit more subdued with young children and a full time job. But camping remained a summertime staple. As the kids grew older I started craving a more wild and adventurous outdoor experience. A healthy mix of my 'military' experiences and the comfortable style of family camping. I discovered that wild camping and outdoor living were hard on a lot of the clothing that were available at the affordable levels. The materials tore easily, melted easily around the camp fire, and lost all insulative value when they got wet. The more durable stuff was made for working outside, but they were too heavy and bulky for hiking use. So the Stark Bushcraft Personal Adventure Shelter System was born.
